The Mayor of Nago, Susumu Inamine, visited the Foreign Ministry to meet Foreign Minister Katsuya Okada on Tuesday.
Inamine said the government's idea to revise the existing plan is unacceptable as long as it includes the relocation of Futenma functions to the city.Okada said the US Marine Corps is necessary for Japan's security, but did not mention the government's revision plan.
