Tokunoshima still eyed for base relocation

The administration of Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama will continue to pursue the relocation of the U.S. Futenma military base from Okinawa to Tokunoshima in Kagoshima Prefecture, Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirofumi Hirano suggested Wednesday despite being snubbed the previous day by local leaders on the island.
