Sit-in 1500 days of a protest of the new U.S. base construction contrary.
The sit-in which is opposed to new base construction of Henoko, Nago-shi starts, and it will be 1500 days in 25,May today.
The meeting which asks for withdrawal of a base plan anew was held. It is 1997 that it was decided that the move place of Futenma Air Station would be Henoko, and the sit-in started focusing on local residents. And having sat down in the harbor to prevent a drilling survey has not rested for 1500 days and one day since then in April, 2004, but it has continued the sit-in.
About 350 persons concentrated today, it appealed against the illegality of the present environmental assessment, and the ship of Japan Coast Guard raised the voice of the protest to the present condition of putting out to sea from Camp Schwab, and coercing an opposition movement every day again.
