GINOWAN City, Okinawa Prefecture, Ginowan Seaside Park, May 18. A convention was held on the third and final day of the peace rally at Ginowan, which hosts the U.S. Marine Corps Air Station Futenma.
Organizers expected 7,000 people to take part. The annual three-day peace march started on Friday, a day after the 36th anniversary of Okinawa's reversion to Japanese sovereignty.
