Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan is on his way to Canada to attend the G8 and G20 summit meetings, which begin on Friday.
Before leaving Tokyo's Haneda airport on Thursday night, Kan said he will tell the summits that Japan can achieve economic growth and fiscal reconstruction simultaneously.The prime minister added that he hopes to achieve common direction with US President Barack Obama in bilateral relations and peace and security in the Asia-Pacific region. He said he wants to build mutual trust with Obama.
